It's a completely secure platform for content owners while protecting and enhancing their brands. And it's an incredibly simple yet flexible way for advertisers to reach targeted global audience. Kablu isn't just video on the internet - it's the next generation of television and broadcasting for viewers, content owners and advertisers everywhere.
Who's building Kablu?
The team co-founded Aleric have been talking about the idea behind Kablu for a long time, it started as a Super Computing Grid. In early 2004, they started the development. More than three years of very hard work later, their vision is ready for public viewing.
The original design was a super computing grid that provides defense and financial grade security and Telco carrier-grade real-time service quality without any (single bit) data loss.
The Grid was created in late 2004. The initial deployment consists of one central server and several hundred Grid nodes. It has grown since, there are now over 30,000 servers in about 82 countries in the Grid network. The recent media applications of the Grid are for High-Definition video delivery. In typical broadband environments such as DSL and Cable, its video resolution is normally in DVD quality. Using High speed DSL and Cable, 1080i and 1080P may be achieved On-Demand.
Kablu is already a global venture, bringing TV to a global, highly networked community. And already, it's setting new standards for 21st-century entertainment. We hope you'll join us on our journey to deliver next-generation TV, wherever in the world you may be.
